zectivimod

Zectivimod (LC51-0255, TT-01688) is a potent, selective, and orally available sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 (S1P1) modulator developed by LG Chem and licensed to TransThera Biosciences for development in Greater China. The drug acts as a functional antagonist by binding to S1P1 receptors on lymphocytes, which induces receptor internalization and leads to the sequestration of these immune cells within peripheral lymphoid organs. By reducing the number of circulating lymphocytes in the peripheral blood, zectivimod aims to mitigate the pathological immune response associated with chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical development for the treatment of moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis and atopic dermatitis, having demonstrated a favorable safety and pharmacokinetic profile in Phase 1 studies.
