Overview
ZL-42 is a small-molecule Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) inhibitor being developed by Chengdu Zenitar Biomedical Technology. It is currently in the early stages of development for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, specifically ulcerative colitis (UC) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). By inhibiting the JAK2 enzyme, ZL-42 modulates the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, which is a critical driver of pro-inflammatory cytokine production. This targeted approach aims to reduce the chronic inflammation and tissue damage associated with these conditions, potentially offering a new therapeutic option for patients who are non-responsive to conventional therapies.
