Therapeutic strategies often aim to modulate this environment by neutralizing specific overexpressed cytokines or blocking their respective receptors to restore homeostatic balance (Feldmann, 2002). Understanding the cytokine milieu is essential for developing precision medicine approaches in immunology and oncology, as it provides insights into the underlying immune status of a patient (Becher et al., 2017).
