Cytokine regulatory pathways encompass the complex intracellular and extracellular signaling networks that coordinate the immune system's response to stimuli. Therapeutic agents modulate these pathways by either neutralizing the cytokine ligands themselves, blocking their cognate cell-surface receptors, or inhibiting intracellular signaling components such as Janus kinases (JAKs) to prevent the activation of downstream transcription factors.
