Tumor-associated membrane antigen (TAMA)

Target
TAMA
Molecular classification
Protein, Glycoprotein, Cell-surface antigen
01

Overview

Tumor-associated membrane antigens (TAMAs) are cell-surface proteins or glycoproteins that are upregulated or aberrantly expressed on cancer cells. They serve as targets for immune surveillance and therapeutic intervention. TAMAs can be used as diagnostic markers and targeted by monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and CAR-T cell therapy. However, immune tolerance and suppression within the tumor microenvironment can limit the efficacy of TAMA-targeted therapies.
