Combination therapy of adalimumab and vedolizumab for inflammatory bowel diseases. Adalimumab is a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocker that inhibits TNFα, while vedolizumab is an integrin receptor antagonist that targets α4β7 integrin on gut-homing T-lymphocytes. This dual biologic approach is used primarily for refractory Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
