AK126 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Akeso Biopharma that simultaneously targets two key immune checkpoints: Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) and Lymphocyte-Activation Gene 3 (LAG-3). By blocking both pathways, AK126 is designed to restore the activity of exhausted T-cells and enhance the anti-tumor immune response more effectively than monotherapy targeting either checkpoint alone. This dual inhibition strategy aims to overcome resistance to standard PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors. AK126 is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
