Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A triple antifungal combination therapy that combines three different classes of antifungal agents. This combination brings together amphotericin B (a polyene that forms pores in fungal cell membranes), caspofungin (an echinocandin that inhibits fungal cell wall synthesis), and voriconazole (a triazole that inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis). The triple combination has shown synergistic effects against Aspergillus species at specific concentrations, though interactions are concentration-dependent and can be antagonistic at higher concentrations of amphotericin B and voriconazole.
