Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AMT-101 + adalimumab is an investigational combination therapy for moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis. AMT-101 is an oral, GI-selective fusion of IL-10 and Applied Molecular Transport's proprietary carrier molecule, while adalimumab (Humira) is a subcutaneously administered anti-TNFα therapy. The combination was studied in the Phase 2 MARKET trial, which showed that patients with shorter ulcerative colitis duration (<5 years) had higher clinical remission rates with the combination (43.8%) compared to adalimumab alone (15.4%), suggesting potential benefit of combination therapy in early disease intervention.
