Overview

This novel bispecific T-cell engager (TCE) is designed to concurrently target Cadherin-17 (CDH17) and the CD3 receptor on T-cells. CDH17 is a cell adhesion protein that is highly expressed in various gastrointestinal malignancies, including gastric, colorectal, and pancreatic cancers, while maintaining limited expression in normal tissues, which provides a favorable therapeutic window. The molecule is engineered with high affinity for CDH17 and a modulated affinity for CD3 to induce potent, tumor-specific T-cell activation and directed cytotoxicity while minimizing systemic cytokine release. Developed by NeoMab Biotechnology, the agent has demonstrated significant anti-tumor efficacy and tumor regression in CDH17-high gastric cancer xenograft models during preclinical evaluation.
