cisplatin + filgrastim + teniposide

This is a combination regimen consisting of three agents:

• Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy agent that forms DNA crosslinks, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. It is widely used for various cancers including sarcomas, carcinomas, lymphomas, and germ cell tumors.
• Teniposide (trade name Vumon) is a podophyllotoxin derivative that inhibits topoisomerase II, causing DNA strand breaks and preventing cell division. It is primarily used in pediatric acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), Hodgkin's lymphoma, certain brain tumors, and other malignancies.
• Filgrastim is a recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) that stimulates the production of neutrophils from the bone marrow. In oncology regimens it reduces the risk of neutropenia-related complications during intensive chemotherapy.

This combination may be considered for use in aggressive or refractory cancers where myelosuppression risk requires mitigation with G-CSF support. The addition of filgrastim allows higher dose intensity or more frequent administration by reducing neutropenic complications.
