Overview

CTA313 is an investigational, off-the-shelf (universal) chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (UCAR-T) therapy developed by Nanjing Bioheng Biotech for the treatment of active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Built on the proprietary ANSWER® 2nd Gen platform, CTA313 utilizes an NK inhibition strategy to improve the persistence of allogeneic cells and minimize host-versus-graft rejection. The therapy is engineered to simultaneously target CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), enabling the comprehensive depletion of both CD19-positive B cells and BCMA-positive long-lived plasma cells. This dual-targeting approach is intended to eliminate the primary sources of pathogenic autoantibodies in SLE, potentially leading to deep clinical remission. CTA313 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials.
