delgocitinib

Delgocitinib is a topical small-molecule pan-Janus kinase inhibitor developed originally by Japan Tobacco and identified by the code name JTE-052. It inhibits JAK-STAT signaling across multiple cytokine pathways implicated in inflammatory skin disease and has been studied most extensively as an ointment for atopic dermatitis, where Japanese phase 2 and phase 3 trials in adults, children, and infants showed clinically meaningful reductions in modified Eczema Area and Severity Index scores with generally favorable tolerability. In Japan, delgocitinib ointment is marketed by Torii Pharmaceutical as Corectim for atopic dermatitis, including pediatric use, while outside Japan LEO Pharma licensed topical dermatology rights and commercialized delgocitinib as Anzupgo for chronic hand eczema in selected markets. The asset is therefore best understood as a topical dermatology JAK inhibitor with commercial positions in atopic dermatitis in Japan and chronic hand eczema outside Japan.
