Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**DEP-Ru** is an investigational salvage co-administration regimen for refractory or relapsed hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis. It combines oral ruxolitinib, a Janus kinase 1 and Janus kinase 2 inhibitor that suppresses cytokine-driven hyperinflammation, with liposomal doxorubicin, etoposide, and methylprednisolone. The chemotherapy and corticosteroid components provide cytotoxic, immunosuppressive, and anti-inflammatory activity. The regimen was developed clinically by Beijing Friendship Hospital and evaluated in the multicentre single-arm phase 2 study NCT03533790.
