Fibrosoft

Fibrosoft is a novel, non-surgical injectable formulation developed by the Australian biotech company Fibrosoft. It is designed to treat fibroproliferative disorders by stimulating the endogenous production or activity of collagenases, enzymes that break down excess collagen in fibrous tissue. The drug is currently in preclinical development for several indications characterized by pathological fibrosis, including Dupuytren's contracture (Viking disease), Plantar fibromatosis (Ledderhose disease), Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder), and Peyronie's disease. Unlike exogenous collagenase injections (such as collagenase clostridium histolyticum), Fibrosoft aims to leverage the body's own enzymatic pathways to resolve contractures and fibrotic plaques.
