Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of infliximab, a TNF-α inhibitor, and risankizumab, an IL-23 antagonist. Infliximab binds to soluble and transmembrane forms of TNF-α, preventing it from interacting with its receptors and disrupting pro-inflammatory cascade signaling. Risankizumab binds specifically to the p19 subunit of IL-23, inhibiting IL-23 from interacting with the IL-23 receptor and subsequent signaling. This combination targets multiple inflammatory pathways simultaneously and may be considered for refractory inflammatory conditions.
