Overview

KB304 is an investigational gene therapy developed by Krystal Biotech for the treatment of skin wrinkling and related skin diseases. It utilizes a replication-defective, non-integrating viral vector to deliver functional, full-length human type III collagen (COL3A1) and tropoelastin genes directly to the skin. The therapy aims to restore or enhance the production of collagen and elastin in aging or damaged skin by modulating collagen type III alpha 1 chain and elastin expression. This approach is designed to improve skin structure, elasticity, and appearance by addressing underlying molecular deficiencies associated with aging or disease.
