moxifloxacin + penicillin G

Moxifloxacin + penicillin G is a combination of two antibiotics used for the treatment of bacterial infections. Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. Penicillin G (benzylpenicillin) is a beta-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to cell lysis and death. This combination may be considered in severe or mixed infections where broad-spectrum coverage against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria is desired or when synergistic effects are sought to enhance bactericidal activity or prevent resistance emergence[2][4].
