Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MTX114 is a topical pan-Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor developed by Metis Therapeutics for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. It was discovered and optimized using the company's proprietary AiTEM (AI-driven Tissue-specific Enhancement of Molecules) platform, which leverages artificial intelligence to enhance the delivery and retention of the drug within the skin. By inhibiting the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, MTX114 blocks the activity of multiple pro-inflammatory cytokines that contribute to the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis. The topical formulation is designed to provide high local efficacy while minimizing systemic absorption, thereby reducing the potential for systemic side effects typically associated with oral JAK inhibitors.
