Overview

OHM-581 is a novel, orally bioavailable small molecule dual inhibitor of Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) and Bromodomain and Extra-Terminal (BET) proteins, specifically targeting BRD4. Developed by Ohm Oncology in collaboration with Laxai Life Sciences, it is designed to address the limitations of single-agent JAK2 inhibitors (such as ruxolitinib) in treating myelofibrosis and other hematologic malignancies. By simultaneously inhibiting JAK2 signaling and BET-mediated transcription (such as c-MYC), OHM-581 aims to reduce the malignant clone, ameliorate fibrosis, and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Preclinical studies have demonstrated significant anti-proliferative activity in AML cell lines and robust tumor inhibition in xenograft models.
