PD-1Ab21-CD19CAR-T cells are an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to treat CD19-positive hematological malignancies. This modified CAR-T product incorporates a CAR targeting the B-lymphocyte antigen CD19, a common marker on B-cell malignancies, and is further engineered to express or secrete a PD-1 antibody (specifically clone Ab21). The inclusion of the PD-1 antibody is intended to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment by blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint pathway, thereby enhancing the persistence and anti-tumor activity of the CAR-T cells by preventing T-cell exhaustion. The therapy is being evaluated in clinical trials sponsored by The Second People's Hospital of Nanyang.
