Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tofacitinib etocomil is a novel topical small molecule pan-Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor developed by Minghui Pharmaceutical for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases. It is formulated as a 1.0% ointment and designed with proprietary technology to enhance skin permeability, enabling effective local inhibition of JAK signaling in the skin while minimizing systemic exposure and toxicity associated with oral JAK inhibitors. The drug has demonstrated significant efficacy and favorable safety in phase III clinical trials for mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema), achieving rapid symptom improvement and high rates of disease clearance compared to placebo. Tofacitinib etocomil is also being investigated for other dermatologic autoimmune conditions such as vitiligo[1][2][4][6][7][8].
