Drug intelligence / Profile preview
V-01 bivalent SARS-CoV-2 vaccine is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine developed by Livzon Pharmaceutical Group in collaboration with the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen. It is a bivalent formulation designed to provide broad protection against SARS-CoV-2 variants, typically incorporating the Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) of the ancestral strain and a variant such as Beta (B.1.351) or Omicron. The vaccine utilizes a unique fusion protein platform (IFN-α-pan-RBD-Fc) where the RBD is fused to human interferon-alpha and an Fc fragment to enhance immunogenicity and target dendritic cells. It is primarily being evaluated as a heterologous booster dose in individuals who have previously received inactivated COVID-19 vaccines.
