VTX-002

VTX-002 is a bispecific antibody being developed by Venn Therapeutics that functions as both a transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) inhibitor and an integrin alpha-V/beta-6 (αvβ6) antagonist. Developed by Venn Therapeutics, an integrin therapeutics precision medicine company, the antibody is designed to provide dual blockade of the TGF-β pathway by inhibiting the soluble ligand and blocking the integrin-mediated activation of latent TGF-β. This dual mechanism is intended to counteract the immunosuppressive effects of TGF-β within the tumor microenvironment and inhibit tumor progression. VTX-002 is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of neoplasms, with potential secondary applications in inflammatory and fibrotic diseases, such as pulmonary fibrosis.
