Overview

YKST03 is a TROP2xCD3 bispecific antibody being developed by Excyte Biopharma for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). It functions as a T-cell engager, designed to bridge TROP2-expressing tumor cells with cytotoxic T cells by binding to the CD3 subunit of the T-cell receptor complex. This interaction triggers target-dependent T-cell activation and the release of cytotoxic granules, leading to the selective lysis of the targeted cancer cells. Trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (TROP2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein significantly overexpressed in TNBC, a subtype of breast cancer characterized by the lack of estrogen, progesterone, and HER2 receptors, making it a high-priority target for immunotherapy. As of late 2024, YKST03 is in the IND-enabling stage of development.
