Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZL-82 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of Janus kinase 3 (JAK3), developed by Chengdu Zenitar Biomedical Technology. It functions as a highly selective, covalent, and irreversible inhibitor, specifically targeting the JAK3 isoform while demonstrating minimal activity against JAK1, JAK2, and TYK2. This high selectivity is intended to provide a wider therapeutic window and improved safety profile compared to first-generation, non-selective JAK inhibitors. ZL-82 is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis and has shown potential for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
