Overview

CEVAD is a chemotherapy combination regimen consisting of cyclophosphamide, etoposide, vincristine, doxorubicin (Adriamycin), and dexamethasone. It was developed as a modification of the VAD regimen (vincristine, doxorubicin, dexamethasone) with the addition of etoposide and cyclophosphamide. This regimen works through multiple mechanisms to target rapidly dividing cancer cells, including DNA cross-linking, DNA intercalation, topoisomerase II inhibition, microtubule disruption, and immunosuppression.
