TRL8605 is a high-affinity human monoclonal antibody developed by Trellis Bioscience and licensed to Relevant Biosciences for the treatment of cancer. Identified using the proprietary CellSpot technology, it was cloned from the memory B-cells of healthy human donors. TRL8605 targets the Killer cell Immunoglobulin-like Receptors KIR2DL1, KIR2DL2, and KIR2DL3, which are inhibitory receptors primarily expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and some T-cell subsets. By blocking the interaction between these receptors and their HLA-C ligands, TRL8605 prevents inhibitory signaling, thereby enhancing the immune system's ability to recognize and destroy tumor cells. It is currently in preclinical development as an immune checkpoint modulator.
